My name is John Patrick, I’m 40 something years old and I live in Inveraray Argyll. I’m a freelance web designer with satisfied customers all over the place. As a web designer, I’m well acquainted with all the X factors that make a website successful.
I design websites that are not only visually fantastic to look at, but also have cross browser compatibility, are smooth to navigate, have page composition and easy downloads. My sites are W3C compliant and coded in XHTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript.
I have a Ph.D in computer science and I am also a Novel and Microsoft certified engineer. I am currently studying post grad photography and video with the New York School of Photography. Thought it was better late than never to add a few more letters to the end of my name. I have been involved with product, service and on-site photography for almost 20 years. Mostly brochure support shots and user guide books. The last ten years I have been predominantly producing photography and video for web delivery. It’s not the glamour end of the business but a lot of creativity is required for good online content that actually sells product and services.
My posted YouTube videos have been watched by a worldwide audience of over 1.5 million. I have also directed, shot and produced many videos for the local online news station serving Argyll. I have also photographed and produced storybooks for different social occasions including birthdays and anniversaries. I also freelance for the odd magazine and paper when the need arises.
I shoot stills and video with my own pro Canon equipment EOS 1D mkII and XH-A1. Rushes are shot in HD 25f or 50i. Post production I use Adobe Creative Suite in particular Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects and Indesign CS4.
